About the Role

Are you a dedicated and passionate Key Stage 1 Teacher looking for your next opportunity? A welcoming and supportive school in Crediton is seeking an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join their team. As a KS1 Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the learning journey of young pupils, helping them build strong academic foundations and develop confidence in their abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning & Delivery: Create and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and set targets for continued development.
  • Inclusive Teaching: Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all pupils.
  • Building Relationships: Establish strong connections with pupils, parents, and staff to support student well-being and learning.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure a holistic and well-rounded educational experience.
  • School Community Involvement: Contribute to the wider school community, including extra-curricular activities and school initiatives.
Key Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience teaching KS1 is preferred, though experience in EYFS or KS2 will also be considered.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to inspiring young learners.
  • Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the school’s positive culture.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
