We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a warm, welcoming, and well-regarded village primary school located in the heart of picturesque rural Hertfordshire - Hitchin. The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS or Key Stage 1 Class Teacher to join the team on a full-time maternity contract, commencing in September 2025 (with flexibility for an earlier start if available). This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about early education, inclusive practice, and creating a nurturing learning environment. Experience with a therapeutic or restorative approach to behaviour management would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching tailored to the needs of all learners.

  • Contribute to the school's inclusive ethos and collaborative team culture.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to professional development and reflective practice.

Ideal Candidate:

  • An enthusiastic and reliable teacher with a great sense of humour.
  • Committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
  • Confident in delivering creative and stimulating lessons that inspire.

  • Able to commute to Hitchin.

What the School Offers:

  • A supportive and friendly team environment.
  • Excellent support from experienced teaching and support staff.
  • A school culture that prioritises wellbeing and work-life balance.
  • Access to a range of staff wellbeing benefits.
  • A beautiful, well-resourced learning environment.
  • Ongoing CPD and career development opportunities.
  • Highly supportive and engaged parents and carers.
