Job summary

Join Morrisons as a Manufacturing Key Operative - Production (Fish) to help produce high quality fish products in a safe, efficient and hygienic environment. You trim fish to set specifications using trained skills, contributing to waste reduction and yield improvements.

Safety is a priority with knife safety training and PPE provided. You will work in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting, with training and development opportunities as part of Morrisons' leadership and career progression.

Qualifications

• Read, recall and trim to set standard specifications across multiple products.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, damp and cold production environment.
• Repetitive hand movements for long durations while following safety regulations.
• Food safety training and standards desirable.

More about the role

At Morrisons we're proud to produce a wide range of high quality fish products. As a Manufacturing Key Operative - Production (Fish) you'll work as part of the production team, producing high quality products in a safe, efficient and hygienic environment. Using trained skills, including using a knife to trim fish to a variety of differing specifications, you'll aim to reduce waste and improve yield.

Safety is a top priority and you'll need to follow all relevant knife safety training at all times to ensure risks are minimised, including wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as chainmail gloves. We'll provide all of the training you'll need to be successful in this role.

More about you

You'll be the kind of person who:

• Can read, recall and trim to set standard specifications across multiple products and customers
• Is able to work in a fast paced food manufacturing environment, which can be damp and wet with varying temperatures of 8 degrees and below
• Can complete repetitive movement of hands, fingers and wrists for averaging 8-10 hours daily, complying with Health and Safety regulation
• Has completed Food Safety Level 2 (desirable)
• Is able to comply with relevant business and site policies, such as health and safety and food safety standards
