Key Account Sales Manager – Activated Carbon Products and Services

Job Description:

Carbon Activated Europe, part of the Carbon Activated Group, is seeking a Key Account Sales Manager to join our European sales team. We are a leading global manufacturer and distributor of activated carbon products and services, serving diverse industries worldwide.

Due to growth in our European operations (Bristol UK, Dortmund Germany, and Gdansk Poland), we are expanding our UK sales team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of activated carbon sales management experience in areas such as Air Filtration, Biogas, Chemicals, Food and Beverage, Remediation, Water Purification, and Wastewater Filtration.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage major accounts across the UK and Europe, working closely with regional sales teams and distribution networks.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new client relationships using sales expertise, technical knowledge, and strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate with channel partners, agents, and distributors to maximize market coverage.
• Travel 25-50% across Europe for customer visits, trade shows, and training.

Requirements:

• Current experience as a Key Account or Account Manager in relevant industries.
• Experience in sectors like Air Filtration, Biogas, Chemicals, Food and Beverage, Water, and Wastewater treatment.
• Ability to manage and grow accounts, develop new business, and work with UK and European teams.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Europe.
• Degree in Chemistry or related Science, with additional business qualifications and industry experience.
• Strong leadership skills to coach and develop external teams.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and data-driven with excellent IT and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
