Job Description:

The Key Account Manager – UK (KAM) is the main interface between Sirtex and its customers. The KAM’s primary function is to help Sirtex achieve its sales objectives by prospecting and initiating qualified new accounts and servicing existing accounts. The KAM is responsible for all aspects of account management, including accounts receivable, training, problem solving, and assisting the account on any needs.

The KAM drives key accounts within the London territory, focusing on market development in multidisciplinary environments including Digestive Oncology, Hepatology, Surgical Oncology, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and SIR-Spheres user physicians. The role involves supporting regulatory compliance by conveying customer needs and reporting incidents or complaints.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop understanding of the market and implement account plans for key accounts to generate strategic relationships and sales within London.
  • Deliver sales presentations and on-site product demonstrations to healthcare professionals.
  • Build relationships across hospital departments and referral areas.
  • Organize educational meetings and training sessions for healthcare professionals.
  • Influence clinicians and key opinion leaders to increase product awareness and usage.
  • Promote clinical data supporting product use.
  • Stay informed on disease states and industry changes.
  • Participate in congresses and organize local medical events.
  • Support third-party programs and understand reimbursement processes in the UK.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related fields.
  • At least 5 years of medical sales experience, with 2+ years in a hospital environment targeting consultants.
  • Knowledge in oncology, gastroenterology, or hepatology.
  • Existing relationships with relevant specialists are advantageous.
  • Proven success in funding negotiations and strategic selling.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and initiative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fluent English.
  • Reside in and can travel within Greater London.
