The Role of the Key Account Manager involves being the shoulder product expert and subject lead, selling a portfolio of shoulder ortho products. The role also includes a dotted line responsibility for a small team of clinical and possibly sales people, with the potential to become a people manager role.

Key responsibilities include working closely with the senior management team to identify new customers, develop a go-to-market strategy, and push the shoulder portfolio to the next level. The role involves selling into orthopaedic surgeons, consultants, and procurement teams, primarily covering the South but with occasional travel further afield.

The Ideal Person for the Key Account Manager role should have:

  • Orthopaedic shoulder experience
  • Experience in strategy development, mentoring, and leading a team (a significant advantage)
  • A minimum of 5 years of shoulder orthopaedic experience
  • A good understanding of orthopaedics and established contacts in the territory
  • A successful sales track record
