Are you a driven & high calibre, sales professional with experience in gaining usage of building envelope products via Mid to High End Contractors and Developers?

If so, we are working with one of the world’s leading designers and Manufacturers of Passive Fire Protection Products for the UK and Overseas markets whose growth is attributable to over 45 years of innovation, intelligent manufacturing and technical expertise.

They are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Key Account Manager to join their team with responsibility enhancing relationships with customers with whom the business has strategic partnerships with.

The Company

The business prides itself in delivering advanced bespoke engineering solutions to their customers, offering technical advice throughout their projects and meeting their requirements quickly and effectively whilst focusing on minimum impact on the environment.

They work closely with Fire Engineers, Façade Engineers and architects to develop effective solutions to their requirements, underpinned by rapid pricing, market leading delivering times and strong technical expertise.

The Role

The primary purpose of your role will be to support the company’s sales strategy, focusing specifically on strategic partnerships with Main (Tier 1) Contractors and Developers.

Your main duties will be:

  • To create demand for the company’s product portfolio and system solutions
  • Drive compliance, be a visible partner and have responsibility for all direct and indirect sales relative to the ledger
  • Implement a key account sales plan with your nominated customers to meet the requirements, overall targets and expectations of the company’s sales strategy
  • Provide solutions for identified end users and monitor the build programme with the aim to convert to a secured project
  • Fully utilising the CRM system and ensuring all relevant data is up to date at all times
  • Work closely and collaborate with External Sales (RFM/RSM), Customer Services, Marketing, Technical Services and Site Services to co-ordinate and drive activities
  • Develop and maintain thorough product, systems and application knowledge
  • Seek and develop new opportunities with targeted Main Contractors / Developers to add to the portfolio
  • Become a trusted advisor within each targeted Strategic Partner business representing the company
  • Develop and maintain relationships within nominated accounts, at all levels – executive, office and site
  • Manage and maintain a current project listing by partner and manage your forthcoming project pipeline to provide a forecast to the Management Team

Key Experiences and Qualifications:

  • Proactive approach to change and be innovative in sharing new ideas
  • Experience in promoting building envelope or passive fire products
  • Proven track record in building relationships with Main Contractors
  • Logical approach to planning and the ability to cope well under pressure
  • Pro-active and results-orientated, focused on meeting schedules, deadlines and performance goals.
  • Confidence in working within multi-dimensional matrix organisations.

Location/Area

SOUTH CENTRAL UK (Based ideally in Oxford, Reading or Swindon area)
