Overview

Job Title: Key Account Manager Outdoor Playground Equipment

Industry Sector: Housebuilders, Housing Developers, Architects, Outdoor Play, Playground Equipment

Area to be covered: South

Based: Within 30 minutes of Southampton/ Winchester

Remuneration: £42,000 + £12,000-£20,000 Uncapped Commission

Benefits: Fully expensed Audi car or £450 car allowance & full benefits

Role

The role of the Key Account Manager Outdoor Playground Equipment will involve:

  • Field based position, selling the design, manufacture and install of outdoor playground equipment
  • Selling into housebuilders, housing developers and architects
  • 50% key account management
  • 50% new business development
  • Significant project bank to inherit
  • Area only vacancy due to an upcoming retirement
  • Calling on customers sites, conducting surveys etc.
  • Typically 2 days a week on the road, 3 days working from home
  • Inheriting a warm area that has already smashed its annual target
  • Average project size of circa £30,000
  • Circa £1.5m revenue target
  • Lots of sales support including field site visits with the Head of Sales
  • Appoints set for you by internal co-ordinators
Ideal applicant
  • Experience working within the outdoor playground equipment sector is not essential
  • Proven track record of key account management and business development
  • Open on product background
  • Previous experience selling into housebuilders, housing developers and architects may be useful but not essential
  • Must live within 30 minutes of either Southampton or Winchester
  • Comfortable with sales cycles up to 18 months
  • Driven and organised
  • Ability to grow accounts
  • Not job hoppers/ journey men
  • Ideally some formal sales training
  • Computer literate
