Job description

Char-Broil is America's oldest grill brand. We are a family-owned grill and grill accessories manufacturer located in Columbus, Georgia, USA. Char-Broil is one of the US market leaders in gas barbecues and sells outdoor cooking appliances in Canada, Latin America, Australia, and Europe.

Our UK sales organisation is currently searching for a highly motivated, results-driven Key Account Manager (KAM) to lead our sales and marketing activities through a portfolio of retailer partners in the Garden Centre & Specialist channels.

The KAM will report directly to the UK General Sales Manager (GSM) and will play an integral role in defining strategies, priorities, and investments to drive market share in the Garden Centre Channel.

As this is primarily a field sales role, the successful candidate will be home-office based (ideally along the M62 corridor) but required to travel extensively across the North of the UK and Ireland.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maximize profitable sales through designated customers.
  2. Prepare and execute annual customer business plans.
  3. Negotiate pricing, terms & trading contracts.
  4. Build strong, long-term relationships with assigned customers.
  5. Drive customer product mix to maximize sale revenues, SOB and GM2.
  6. Manage and control customer budgets.
  7. Conduct regular visits to designated accounts, both HQ and store level.
  8. Manage operational customer-related issues through to resolution, including receivables as required.

YOUR PROFILE:

  1. Proven experience in Key Account Management with experience in BBQs or Outdoor Furniture preferred.
  2. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building strong relationships both within and outside the company.
  3. Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
  4. Highly self-motivated, well-organized, multi-tasking and fast-thinking.
