Overview

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and strategic National Account Manager to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the needs and opportunities of key influential customers and will develop and implement specific account plans to deliver profitable growth. Collaboration across business units is essential to create actionable mutual account plans, focusing on building strong relationships with operational teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop business at the country level by closely collaborating with customers' country operations teams
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, and territory management to meet customer expectations
  • Ensure that customer feedback and needs are integrated into brand and business planning processes
  • Implement pricing and promotional strategies, contributing to central discussions
  • Increase our brand presence and share of wallet within accounts, fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
  • Identify and proactively communicate mutual business development opportunities and challenges to contract leads
  • Support the Senior Manager in negotiations to safeguard our profitability while balancing growth opportunities
  • Position our company as a key strategic partner with major customers and support the development of collaborative planning processes
  • Identify key performance indicators to coordinate, monitor, and report on project effectiveness
Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent industry/business qualification
  • Experience in National Account Management and preferably in applying category management techniques
  • Proven track record in sales and account management
  • Strong understanding of the animal health environment and broader business principles
  • Familiarity with negotiation strategies and their practical application
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for data presentation
