Job Title: Key Account Manager

My key client, an EV Charging company at the forefront of innovation and growth is hiring a seasoned Key Account Manager.

Role Overview:

As a Key Account Manager, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of nurturing and expanding key house accounts. Serving as the primary point of contact post-sales, you will collaborate closely with clients and internal departments to maximise account potential, enhance client satisfaction, and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within assigned accounts, including senior leaders, decision-makers, and influencers.
  2. Act as the primary liaison between the company and key accounts, ensuring effective communication, problem resolution, and overall satisfaction.
  3. Understand the commercial objectives and challenges of each account, and develop tailored strategies to drive revenue growth and meet/exceed sales targets.
  4. Utilise commercial acumen to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding the company's product/service offerings within key accounts.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and services to key accounts.
  6. Conduct regular business reviews with key stakeholders to review performance, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement or expansion.
  7. Prepare and deliver engaging presentations to key stakeholders, showcasing the value proposition of the company's offerings and demonstrating how they address the specific needs of each account.
  8. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential threats and opportunities for the company within key accounts.
  9. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key accounts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and policies.
  10. Keep accurate records of account interactions, sales activities, and revenue forecasts using CRM software.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of key account management experience.
  • EV Charging / Similar industry experience
  • Proven track record of success in key account management, with a focus on working with large stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Strong commercial experience, with the ability to understand complex business environments and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organisation.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective account plans.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
