Overview

The portfolio centers around ID Now, a fast molecular testing platform for Covid-19, Influenza A & B, RSV and Strep A, delivering results in minutes at the point of care.

The role: Key Account Manager for the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division (ARDx). The territory is Cheshire and Merseyside. You must be based within the territory or relocate to be considered. The role is regional with potential national elements.

The Opportunity

Help Abbott lead the move toward Point of Care testing for infectious diseases within secondary care and identify strategic opportunities within Clinical Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) and the community landscape. You will manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders across NHS, Public Health and Local Authority settings.

  • Location: United Kingdom > Maidenhead: Remote (with regional responsibilities in Cheshire & Merseyside)
  • Travel: Yes, up to 75% of the time
  • Working shift: Standard
What You’ll Do
  • Develop markets and customers, achieve sales targets, provide customer service and manage key accounts
  • Lead and participate in projects, demonstrate business acumen, and strive to meet financial and strategic objectives
  • Implement national strategies for new and existing products and services, building stakeholder relationships
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders in key accounts
  • Participate in sales and marketing meetings
  • Align UK marketing campaigns to regional level and translate strategies into regional actions
  • Articulate issues and opportunities with customers to secure long-term business opportunities
  • Maintain a regular view of the regional strategic landscape for Commercial and Marketing Teams
Required Qualifications
  • Strong sales track record with business acumen and analytical skills
  • Experience in medical devices or diagnostics; familiarity with diagnostic industry practices is preferable
  • Thorough knowledge of UK healthcare system and NHS
  • Ability to construct compelling business cases
  • Informal coaching and leadership of stakeholders
  • IT skills: MS Word, Excel (intermediate), PowerPoint; experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) and Power BI
