This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hospital Specialist to join a new team build working as a Key Account Manager in Respiratory Biologics. You will work with key hospital accounts as well as strategic ICS/ICB market access, focusing on formulary inclusions and developing strong relationships with key customers / therapy area influencers. This will be based on a deep scientific understanding of the local environment to create opportunities and enhance patient access to medicines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales targets for allocated brands.
- Demonstrate exemplary account management and operational excellence.
- Maximise prescribing of brand through promotion to key influencers and prescribers to deliver sales targets for allocated brands.
- Successfully promote the benefits of brands, using the appropriate promotional mix.
- Incorporate channels into the DNA of promotional mix.
- Contribute to the input & delivery of effective account plans that will deliver against both customer and local objectives.
- Identify and develop emerging customers and shape / deliver tactics to develop them.
- Identify opportunities and strategies to secure, expand or defend the positioning of the portfolio in protocols, formularies and local guidelines, dependant on brand and its lifecycle.
- Identify potential barriers to prescribing within key accounts and work with the account plan owner to prepare and implement agreed action plans.
- Input into and deliver the business plan for all LHEs within the territory, ensuring all internal and external stakeholders input and engagement with the territory plan including clear accountabilities.
- Collaborate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure engagement and alignment with the territory plan.
- Implement plans to deliver against identified opportunities.
- Work alongside the account plan owner to ensure input into the account development.
- Communicate an understanding of changing customer activities and drivers to the account team, ensuring company planning reflects current and future needs of the local environment.

Qualifications
Essential:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- ABPI Qualification
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Business/commercial related degree
- Wellards diploma or equivalent
Person experience required
Essential:
- Significant Secondary Care sales experience with a sound knowledge of account management
- Track record of engaging key stakeholders in complex clinical environments, i.e., mid and senior-level healthcare professionals, key accounts and the medical community
- Proven track record in influencing the prescribing decision-making process across key accounts
- Proven experience of working in complex cross-functional teams
- Strong ability to debate, discuss and negotiate with senior HCPs and DMU team members
Desirable:
- Current knowledge and experience of the designated territory and customers
- Significant Pharmaceutical sales experience in one or more of the areas below: Respiratory Biologics products, High-Cost Specialist Medicines (specialised commissioning), Secondary Care Respiratory and Biologics (other therapeutic areas)
- Experience of influencing successfully in a complex organisation
- Proven track record of launching secondary care medicine/worked in an environment with rapidly shifting clinical and treatment paradigms
