Job summary

Tapi Carpets & Floors Limited is seeking a proactive Key Account Manager (B2B) to manage a portfolio of strategic partners across housing, insurance and build-to-rent sectors. You will nurture relationships, drive revenue, and develop account plans to expand coverage and profitability.

Based in Orpington with hybrid UK travel, you’ll partner with stores, operations and insurers to ensure top service, forecasted growth and strong margins while expanding Tapi’s floor solutions nationwide.

Qualifications

• Experience managing B2B accounts across housing, insurers, and construction.
• Proven ability to grow share of wallet and cross-sell products.
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
• Able to travel UK and hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day ownership of a portfolio of key B2B accounts across social housing, insurance, housebuilding and build-to-rent.
• Build strong, trusted relationships at every level – from operational contacts to senior decision-makers.
• Grow share of wallet by finding new opportunities within each account – more properties, more regions, more products and more supply & fit.
• Make sure Tapi is considered for every flooring need within our partners' businesses, from empty homes and retrofit to communal areas.
• Create and own account plans, forecasts and pipeline, and run regular account reviews with customers.
• Monitor SLA performance and reporting, and work closely with the B2B Operations Manager to resolve issues quickly.
• Lead insurer relationships and SLA reporting for our insurance partners.
• Protect margin and keep a close eye on account profitability.
• Report on revenue from existing accounts against target, account growth, gross margin achieved and retention rate.
• Always look for ways to continuously improve for customers, colleagues and the wider Tapi business.

Key Account Manager (Business to Business - B2B)

Location: Orpington / Hybrid with UK travel

We have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join Tapi Smart Flooring Solutions, our fast-growing B2B team!

Our partners include social housing providers, housebuilders, build-to-rent operators and insurers who rely on us to supply and fit great flooring in homes right across the country. As we grow, we need a relationship champion to look after our most important customers and help them do even more with Tapi.

About You!

• People are your bag – you get them, you understand them and you know how to grow a relationship into a long-term partnership.
• You've got a strong track record in key account management in a B2B environment – ideally flooring, construction, housing, insurance supply chain or property services.
• You see 100% of target as the minimum – not job done! – and you're always looking for the next opportunity within an account.
• You're commercially sharp and comfortable talking forecasts, margins and SLAs.
• Good judgement is key – you don't shy away from difficult conversations and manage them with Tapi charm, always working towards the best outcome.
• You're super organised and can juggle multiple accounts without dropping the ball.
• You're Tech Savvy and happy using CRM and reporting tools – and if you don't know something, you find out!
• Full UK driving licence
• You’ll be a brand ambassador and ooze the Tapi difference.
