Overview

Key Account Manager – Location: Stanmore, HA7 4LP • Hours: 37.5 • Contract Type: Permanent. This role supports the Key Account Director in planning and delivering growth and profitability across a major account. This is an opportunity to step into a management role, gain experience across multiple service lines, and build strategic, financial, and customer management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, service delivery, staff behaviour, and presentation across all sites.
  • Manage site resources, including budgets, capital expenditure, staffing, and quality assessment systems to meet ISS, Trust, and client requirements.
  • Report accurate financial results, ensure compliance with procedures, and drive cost control and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, acting as the key point of communication and ensuring professional representation of the account.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop site teams by setting clear goals, managing performance, and promoting equal opportunities and diversity.
  • Communicate and deliver the Site Business Plan, identifying opportunities for growth, innovation, and service excellence.
  • Participate in on-call rotas and respond proactively to customer needs, operational challenges, and change initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record in facilities services operations, particularly in cleaning and/or catering (healthcare, retail or hospitality preferred).
  • Experience in an operational management role with financial and commercial accountability (PFI and/or multi-functional healthcare site desirable).
  • Strong background in soft services with customer focus and client management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse teams effectively.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L and budget management.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility at all organisational levels.
  • High level of initiative, creativity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
