Job description

The Company :

With a deep commitment to constantly innovating and diversifying its offerings, Everest Ice Cream is experiencing continued growth and an increasing demand for its products, creating an opportunity for an experienced Key Account Manager to join the team in Melbourne and play a pivotal role in the next chapter of this historic business.

The Role :

Working closely with the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and growing Everest Ice Cream's sales within key channels, including Petrol and Convenience (P+C), Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), Foodservice, and Independent Grocery. You will manage both State and National Key Accounts, focusing on expanding the product range and improving margins. This role is perfect for someone with strong experience in sales and account management who is looking to utilise their skills and experience to drive growth and expansion across these channels.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth within target channels (P+C, QSR, Foodservice, Independent Grocery).
  • Manage State and National Key Accounts, ensuring the expansion of Everest Ice Cream’s product offerings.
  • Negotiate contracts with key customers and co-pack partners.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present business reviews and performance analysis.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for new products that can differentiate Everest Ice Cream in the market and drive revenue.
  • Proactively contribute to sales meetings and the development of strategic plans.

What You Bring :

  • Tertiary qualification in business / marketing or a related field.
  • At least 5 years sales experience, preferably in FMCG, having sold into channels such as P+C, QSR, Independent Grocery, and / or Foodservice.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and growing key accounts.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with the ability to prepare and present business reviews and conduct performance analysis.
  • Ability to work strategically and analytically, with a focus on delivering business objectives and growth.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
