IQVIA is currently recruiting for a highly accountable Key Account Manager to shape and grow the Intravenous Iron landscape in North Wales and the North West (Manchester Liverpool, surrounding areas up to Preston).

The successful Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing their own business plans focusing on driving the growth of the product on territory. You will work alongside a Customer Engagement Manager to help identify bottlenecks and provide strategies for success. You will be highly accountable and autonomous, with a strong clinical aptitude.

By providing a high-quality commercial approach, you will maximise opportunities and investments using your successful negotiation skills and be involved in high level clinical discussions around the product and its wealth of data.

You will maintain a high degree of knowledge of the defined therapy areas and NHS policies (both local and national) by proactively reviewing their current positions and providing solutions where appropriate to ensure the use of our client’s products.

We are looking for someone with a record of success, who thrives on challenges, enjoys accountability, and seeks new ways of driving sales. Cardiovascular or nephrology experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Proven track record of working autonomously to achieve targets in secondary care, with full accountability for the sales of your product.
  • Successful positioning and prescribing of product within Trusts with a focus on specific departments/ patient types.
  • Achieve effective product advocacy and mobilise advocacy network across all levels to facilitate and support the business.
  • Credibly present both clinical and commercial product features and information to differentiate and achieve product of choice status relevant to the customer/account.
  • Apply KAM principles to understand clinical, funding and coding pathways across an account in order to implement local solutions and effect a positive product growth environment.
  • Demonstrate a return on investment on all resources at your disposal including budgets.
  • Fully understand developments in the NHS and local issues, assessing implications and communicating to the wider team, so that all local activities are tailored as appropriate.
  • Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent
  • A high level of selling, commercial acumen and negotiating skills
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with all business partners
  • Driving licence – max of 6 points.
