The Job:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Exhibition Specialist to lead the sales efforts. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, experience in the events or exhibitions industry, alongside a deep expertise in selling customised display solutions to meet the unique needs of exhibitors and brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development & Execution:
    Create and implement a strategic sales plan for each exhibition or trade show, targeting potential clients and exhibitors.
    Drive revenue through exhibitor sales, customised displays and additional services.
    Collaborate with the marketing team to design campaigns that attract high quality exhibitors.
  2. Client Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing exhibitors, clients, and industry partners.
    Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact through post-exhibition follow-up.
    Understand client needs and offer tailored display opportunities that meet their objectives.
  3. Sales Pipeline & Lead Generation:
    Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline, utilising CRM tools to track and report on sales progress.
    Identify and pursue new business opportunities within targeted industries.
    Conduct outreach through email, phone, and face-to-face meetings to secure exhibitor commitments.
  4. Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
    Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to identify new sales strategies and opportunities.
    Conduct regular competitor analysis to ensure pricing and offerings are competitive.
  5. Sales Reporting & KPIs:
    Monitor and report on sales performance, including achievement of revenue targets, leads generated, and other key metrics.
    Provide regular updates and forecasts to senior management.
  6. Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with the sales, marketing, and operation teams to ensure seamless event execution and deliver value to exhibitors.
    Support the operations team in preparing for the exhibition, ensuring all exhibitor & client requirements are met.

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in the exhibitions or events industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage high-level client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
  • Experience using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Knowledge of exhibition industry trends and market conditions.
