Job summary

Parcks Inc. in Brighton is seeking a seasoned Kernel Engineer to design, optimize and harden the core of our operating system. You will shape the foundation where performance, privacy and security meet, building an independent kernel lineage.

This role focuses on low-level architecture, real-time scheduling, memory management, and IPC, collaborating with driver, security and network teams. It offers on-site work with occasional remote-friendly flexibility and a mission-driven, privacy-first

Qualifications

5+ years of systems programming experience.
Strong knowledge of C and assembly.
Experience with Unix-like kernel architectures.
Proficiency in low-level debugging and performance profiling.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement kernel core subsystems including scheduling, memory management, and IPC.
Ensure low-latency real-time performance and efficient resource usage.
Collaborate with driver, security, and network teams to integrate secure, telemetry-free modules.
Conduct kernel-level debugging and code reviews to maintain stability.
Design kernel interfaces that are developer-friendly and privacy-safe.
