Job Opportunity: Quantitative Developer at UBS

Are you interested in contributing to a core kdb+ data platform used by our trading algorithms and multiple quant teams globally?

Are you interested in large, multi-asset complex systems with both high throughput and low latency requirements?

Do you want a role where you can take responsibility for ensuring technical requirements to maintain security and deploy modern technologies are met?

Your responsibilities
  1. Work closely with Global Markets including Equities, Futures, and FX, and Technology to deliver regional and global projects
  2. Implement solutions and develop software components
  3. Produce secure, stable, and scalable code
  4. Translate business requirements into designs for global solutions
Your team

The team works very closely with key global sponsors including trading and quant teams in Execution Services. Problems vary from high volume, low latency, scalable architecture through to bespoke quantitative analytics for UBS Electronic Trading clients. The kdb+ platform is a fundamental part of the UBS algo business globally across Equities, Futures, FX, and other products.

Your expertise
  • At least one degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics
  • Extensive experience in kdb+/q including design of large kdb+ systems and infrastructure
  • Deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and modern software development practices
  • Development in a Unix and/or Linux environment
  • Experience in low latency systems development and tick data capture
  • Knowledge of market data and algorithmic trading order and execution data
  • Ideally, experience in global Equities, Futures, Options, and/or FX products and data
  • Strong communication skills
