Job summary

Hawksworth in London is seeking a Senior KDB+/q Developer to join the Fixed Income Algo Trading technology team. You will work closely with traders and quants on pricing, trading, hedging and risk management tools.

Candidates should have deep KDB+/q expertise in front office environments, real-time market data handling, and performance tuning. This senior role requires onsite presence in London 3 days per week with a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Strong Fixed Income knowledge – ideally Rates, Credit, Bonds, FICC or Algo/eTrading.
• Experience in a Front Office trading environment.
• Experience working directly with Traders, Quants and technology teams.
• KDB development, maintenance and performance optimisation.
• Experience with real-time/large-scale financial or market data environments.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the trading desk on technology supporting pricing, trading, hedging, risk management and trading algorithms.
• This is a senior position focused on KDB+/q within Fixed Income Algo Trading; leadership in performance tuning and reliability.

Hawksworth are recruiting now for a Senior KDB+/q Developer to join a leading European Investment Bank within its Fixed Income Algo Trading technology team.

• London – Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week
• Contract – 6 months +

We are looking for a KDB specialist with strong experience working within Fixed Income / Front Office trading technology.

Key experience:

• Strong Fixed Income knowledge – ideally Rates, Credit, Bonds, FICC or Algo/eTrading
• Experience working in a Front Office trading environment
• Experience working directly with Traders, Quants and technology teams
• KDB development, maintenance and performance optimisation
• Experience with real-time/large-scale financial or market data environments

You’ll be working closely with the trading desk on technology supporting pricing, trading, hedging, risk management and trading algorithms.

This is a senior position and we’re particularly interested in speaking with KDB+/q specialists rather than generalist developers who have only used KDB as one part of a broader technology stack.

Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, provided they can commit to being onsite in London 3 days per week.
