Job summary

Kauai is hiring a Full-time Supervisor to join our café team. You’ll lead shifts, coach staff, and maintain food quality and service standards while upholding hygiene and safety protocols.

You'll work closely with the Store Manager to deliver an exceptional member experience. This role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service, and flexible scheduling across early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Food Allergy and Intolerance Training.
• Supervisory experience within hospitality, food service or retail preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures.
• Flexible approach to working early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the café, leading shifts and ensuring smooth operations.
• Coach and support Team Members to deliver exceptional customer service and food quality.
• Ensure brand, food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
• Oversee food and beverage preparation, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met.
• Monitor stock levels, complete ordering and support stock control processes.
• Resolve customer queries professionally and support the team during busy trading periods.
• Assist with onboarding and training new team members while reinforcing operational standards.
• Maintain accurate operational records, food safety documentation and daily checklists.
• Work collaboratively with the Virgin Active team to deliver a seamless member experience.
• Support the Store Manager in achieving operational and commercial objectives.
