Karis Neighbour Scheme: Project Coordinator Children and Families

Contract: Initially 12 months fixed term

Location: Ladywood, Birmingham and surrounding areas

The Project Co-ordinator for the Children and families work will support families with young children living or moving into our focus area.

To oversee those aspects of Karis Neighbour Scheme’s work that particularly relate to families living in our focus areas.

This will be done through the training and supervision of a team of volunteers, to provide befriending, advocacy, support and practical help to parents and families in the area. This will involve working alongside statutory and other voluntary sector professionals in order to develop a coherent programme of services offered to parents and families.

The worker will be part of a wider team and a group of volunteers who support the project.

Karis Neighbour Scheme is a small and responsive charity, working with volunteers to run valued community projects. The projects aim to provide emotional, practical, befriending and advocacy support in a variety of different ways.
