Job summary

Talaton, Exeter-based Junior Welder / Fabricator position working in a small workshop team, performing MIG and TIG welding, preparing tube sections and supporting fabrication with workshop machinery.

Salary £14.00-£16.00 per hour, site based, permanent contract. Typical hours 07:00-15:30, Monday to Friday. Overtime occasionally available, pension scheme and standard holiday entitlement offered, salary reviewed after 3 months depending on performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to cut and deburr tube sections accurately.
• Experience using workshop machinery, ideally including CNC bending equipment.
• Good practical and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MIG and TIG welding on fabricated metal components.
• Cut and deburr tube sections to the required specifications.
• Operate a CNC bending machine as part of the fabrication process.
• Work with N plates and other fabricated components.
• Read and follow basic technical information and measurements where required.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and ensure components are produced accurately.
• Work safely and maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
