About The Content Emporium

The Content Emporium is a fast-growing creative content agency based in Bristol. We create bold, audience-led content for some of the UK’s biggest brands, working across social media, websites, CRM and email, design, SEO, video and more.

We’re a large, collaborative team of strategists, writers, editors, designers, developers, account managers, social specialists and CRM experts – all working together to create content that gets noticed and gets results.

We work at serious scale, but we’re not a traditional agency. We’re practical, collaborative, ambitious and unpretentious, and we care about making genuinely good work.

Why we're hiring

Our Website & CRM team is growing, and we’re looking for a brilliant junior writer to join us.

This is an entry-level role for someone who loves writing, has excellent attention to detail and wants to build a career in digital content.

You’ll work across websites and email/CRM, helping us create everything from engaging website articles and landing pages to email campaigns, subject lines, promotional copy and calls to action.

You don’t need to arrive knowing everything. We’re looking for someone with strong writing instincts, curiosity and a willingness to learn the technical and strategic side of digital content.

The role

As our Junior Website & CRM Copywriter, you’ll be part of the team responsible for keeping our clients’ websites and email communications fresh, accurate, engaging and effective.

You’ll write and edit content to briefs, learn how different digital channels work, and develop an understanding of how audience insight, SEO, data and commercial objectives should shape the words we use.

This is a hands-on role. As well as writing, you’ll learn how content is uploaded and managed within websites and email platforms, help keep content plans and workflows moving, and work closely with colleagues across CRM, web, account management, design and SEO.

You'll be supported by more experienced members of the team, with plenty of opportunity to develop your skills, take ownership of your work and progress as a digital copywriter.

What you'll be doing:

Website content

  • Writing engaging, accurate website copy including articles, news stories, landing pages, promotional content, listings and evergreen pages.
  • Editing and proofreading existing website content.
  • Learning to write with SEO principles in mind, including understanding keywords, search intent, headings, metadata and internal linking.
  • Uploading and updating content using content management systems.
  • Sourcing and selecting appropriate imagery to accompany content.
  • Checking published pages to make sure content is accurate, correctly formatted and working as expected.
  • Adapting your writing to different brands, audiences and tones of voice.
  • Writing copy for email campaigns, including subject lines, preview text, headlines, body copy and calls to action.
  • Helping turn campaign briefs and commercial priorities into engaging customer communications.
  • Learning how email copy changes depending on audience, objective and customer segment.
  • Proofreading and checking email campaigns before they are sent.
  • Working with CRM colleagues to understand what the data tells us about content performance.
  • Developing an understanding of email best practice and what encourages people to open, read and click.

Content, workflow & collaboration

  • Working from briefs and asking the right questions when something isn't clear.
  • Researching topics and checking facts before writing.
  • Maintaining editorial calendars, content trackers and other workflow documents.
  • Working closely with designers, CRM specialists, developers, SEO colleagues and account teams.
  • Responding positively to feedback and developing copy through amends.
  • Managing your own workload and deadlines with support from more senior members of the team.
  • Helping ensure everything we publish is accurate, on-brand and of a consistently high standard.
  • Keeping an eye on digital content trends and bringing interesting examples and ideas back to the team.

What we're looking for

This is a junior role, so we're not expecting years of agency experience, and welcome applications from new graduates. Above all, we are interested in finding someone with the raw skills and attitude to become an excellent digital copywriter.

You'll ideally have:

  • Excellent written English, with strong spelling, grammar and attention to detail.
  • A genuine love of writing and an ability to make information clear, concise and engaging.
  • Some experience of writing content – this could come from a first job, internship, placement, freelance work, university, a personal project or similar.
  • An understanding that writing for a website or email is different from academic or long-form writing.
  • Good research skills and an instinct for checking facts rather than making assumptions.
  • Confidence using everyday digital tools and the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage several pieces of work at once.
  • An interest in websites, email marketing, digital content and how brands communicate with their audiences.
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to take feedback.
  • Curiosity about why some content performs better than others.

Experience using a CMS, email marketing platform or basic SEO tools would be useful, but isn't essential. We can teach you.

Agency experience is also welcome, but not required.

What you'll learn

We want this to be a role in which someone can develop quickly.

You'll have the opportunity to build practical experience in:

  • Digital copywriting
  • Website content management
  • SEO copywriting
  • CRM and email marketing
  • Content performance and analytics
  • Different brand tones of voice
  • Working with designers and developers
  • Managing content at scale
  • Agency processes and client work

As your experience grows, you'll be encouraged to take greater ownership of briefs, contribute ideas and recommendations, and develop towards a Digital Marketing Copywriter role.

What we offer

  • Company pension
  • Health insurance
  • Hybrid working, with a minimum of one day per week in our Bristol office
  • Training and development
  • The opportunity to work with major UK brands and on digital content seen by large audiences
  • A friendly, ambitious and collaborative agency environment
  • Plenty of opportunity to develop your career as the agency continues to grow

Interviews will take place during the week commencing 5th October 2026.

Our commitment

The Content Emporium is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. We recruit based on skills, potential and suitability for the role and are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.
