Junior Ward Sister/Charge Nurse - Ward 17

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and senior nurse to support in leading the team on Ward 17 at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

We are looking for a highly enthusiastic individual to come and join our 20 - 24 bedded young frailty unit. We are passionate about the care of frail adults who require hospital admission.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including Geriatricians, nurses, resident doctors, physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, and the wider MDT, who work collaboratively to treat a complex mix of acutely unwell, frail, medical patients.

We welcome applications from nurses who feel they can undertake this role and meet the demands of this challenging but rewarding post.

Main duties of the job

This is a key post in the provision of supporting nursing leadership and management for the ward & departmental teams. Communicating with all members of the multi-disciplinary team as well as patients and relatives is an essential aspect of the role. This role is key to ensuring that excellent standards of care are consistently maintained, and the post holder will be expected to be a positive role model for the team.
