Job summary

elasticStage is seeking a motivated Junior Manufacturing Operator to join our on-site production team in Elstree (WD6). You will learn to operate vinyl manufacturing equipment, support quality checks, and help maintain smooth production flow across a rotating Tue–Sat schedule.

Ideal candidates have GCSEs in English and Maths, a genuine interest in manufacturing, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude. We offer a competitive salary, overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
• A genuine interest in manufacturing or production, with willingness to learn on the job.
• A strong work ethic demonstrated in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Good attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Basic problem-solving skills with ability to follow instructions when issues arise.
• Organisational skills to manage tasks with guidance.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow processes, work independently when required, and meet production targets.
• Physical capability to stand for periods and handle manual tasks safely with training.
• Flexibility to work different shifts or occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on training to operate and maintain equipment in production.
• Monitor production quality and make precise adjustments to ensure top-quality results.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and minimise downtime.
• Follow established manufacturing processes and maintain accurate production records.
• Collaborate with the production team to prioritise and fulfil orders.
• Assist in organisation and management of supplies to keep line running smoothly.
• Pursue relevant qualifications and certifications for career development.
