This is a hands-on role for someone with professional experience in filming and editing who wants to develop their skills while producing engaging video content for a wide range of client projects.

Working alongside our experienced creative and production team, you’ll contribute to shoots and post-production, take responsibility for assigned work and develop the confidence to manage increasingly complex projects.

The Role

As Junior Editor / Camera Operator, you’ll help create high-quality video content across promotional films, social media campaigns, interviews, testimonials and event coverage.

You’ll bring good storytelling instincts, practical post-production skills and a sound understanding of camera, lighting and audio. You’ll receive direction and feedback from senior colleagues while being encouraged to contribute your own ideas and develop your creative judgement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Film and edit high-quality video content for a range of client projects.
  • Support the planning and delivery of location and studio shoots.
  • Capture visually engaging footage that supports the story, tone and objectives of each project.
  • Produce edits that follow project briefs, brand guidelines and agreed creative direction.
  • Operate camera, lighting and audio equipment safely and confidently.
  • Assist with lighting, composition, camera movement and sound recording on shoots.
  • Safely back up and manage footage in line with internal storage and archiving processes.
  • Edit and assemble footage with attention to pacing, sound, colour and narrative flow.
  • Create straightforward motion graphics and titles where required.
  • Maintain organised post-production workflows, including project versioning, file management and archiving.
  • Respond positively to feedback and make revisions accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with directors, producers, editors, marketers, freelancers and clients.
  • Contribute creative ideas and suggest new approaches where appropriate.
  • Keep developing your technical and creative skills through training, experimentation and practical experience.
  • Maintain high standards of creativity, organisation and professionalism.

You’ll have around 1–3 years’ professional experience in video production, editing or a similar creative role, supported by a portfolio demonstrating your filming and editing abilities.

You should be comfortable working from a brief, managing assigned tasks and making creative decisions within an agreed direction. You won’t be expected to know everything from day one, but you should be keen to learn, receptive to feedback and able to take increasing ownership as your experience develops.

Skills and Experience
  • Professional or equivalent practical experience filming and editing video content.
  • A good working knowledge of camera, lighting and audio techniques.
  • Good editing skills, ideally using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • A working understanding of colour correction, sound editing, motion graphics and post-production workflows.
  • Good storytelling instincts and a developing creative eye.
  • Ability to produce accurate, well-presented work with appropriate guidance and quality control.
  • Good organisation and file‑management habits.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Confidence working as part of a collaborative production team.
  • A positive and proactive approach to learning, feedback and creative development.
  • Willingness to work on location and contribute to different types of production.
  • You may also be asked to undertake other reasonable duties that support our creative output and project delivery.
