Role Overview
As a Junior Video Editor, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Video Editor to craft engaging long-form and short-form content that aligns with P. Louise’s bold and creative vision. You’ll play a key role in editing Destination P. Louise, ensuring each monthly documentary reflects our brand’s identity and storyline.
You will also be responsible for managing and organizing video assets, editing for various platforms, and assisting with technical elements such as color correction, sound mixing, and exporting.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Post-Production
- Edit long-form videos in Adobe Premiere Pro, including:
- Syncing multiple audio channels and camera angles efficiently.
- Crafting cohesive storylines in collaboration with the Senior Video Editor.
- Assist with colour correction, sound mixing, and audio editing to enhance video quality.
- Export and deliver files in various formats and resolutions optimized for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
Asset Management
- Organize and maintain a structured library of video files, project assets, and backup archives.
- Ensure project files are clean, well-labelled, and easy for team members to navigate.
Collaboration & Creative Input
- Work closely with the Senior Video Editor to develop storylines that align with the brand’s creative direction.
- Provide input on editing techniques, transitions, and effects to enhance storytelling.
- Support the Creative Production team in brainstorming and executing innovative video concepts.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for long-form video editing.
- Experience syncing multi-camera footage and multiple audio channels.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage video files and project assets efficiently.
- Knowledge of colour correction, sound mixing, and audio editing basics.
- Familiarity with exporting and optimizing content for various platforms, including social media.
- Creative mindset and a strong sense of narrative storytelling.
Desirable
- Basic knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics or visual effects.
- Experience working on documentary or narrative projects.
