Job summary

Hawk Hiring seeks an experienced Vehicle Technician for a full‑time, permanent role in the Worthing area. You will service and maintain ICE, Hybrid, and electric vehicles, following high‑voltage safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.

You will support Senior Technicians with repairs, use advanced diagnostic tools, and keep precise job cards while collaborating with the workshop team. A strong driving licence and hands‑on dealership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 / City & Guilds in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or time-served equivalent).
• Hands‑on experience as a Vehicle Technician in a dealership, fast-fit center, or independent garage.
• EV aptitude: Level 2/3 IMI EV qualifications a plus, but full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and health checks on ICE, Hybrid, and electric models.
• Learn high-voltage safety protocols, battery health checks, and EV maintenance under manufacturer guidelines.
• Assist Senior Vehicle Technicians with core mechanical repairs (brakes, suspension, timing belts/chains, clutches).
• Use modern diagnostic tools to locate, trace, and repair faults.
• Maintain accurate job cards and collaborate with service advisors and workshop controllers.

Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 basic salary + performance bonus (Realistic £42,000 OTE)

Location: Worthing Area (Free secure staff parking)

Hours: Monday – Friday (08:00 – 17:00) | Fair Saturday Morning Rota

What You’ll Be Doing

• Utilizing modern diagnostic tools to locate, trace, and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Maintaining accurate job cards and collaborating smoothly with service advisors and workshop controllers.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 / City & Guilds in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or time-served equivalent).
• Experience: Hands‑on experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a dealership, fast-fit center, or independent garage.
• EV Aptitude: Strong interest in EV/Hybrid systems (Level 2/3 IMI EV qualifications are a plus, but full training is provided!).
• Mindset: Logical diagnostic approach, team attitude, and pride in clean, safe workmanship.
• Licence: Full UK Driving Licence.
