CMC is seeking a Junior Transformation Consultant to support major Defence sector transformation programmes. Hybrid onsite in Cheltenham, permanent role with a negotiable start date. The role suits those early in their career in consulting, business analysis, or change, looking to grow in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

You’ll join a dynamic client team on transformative programmes, developing consulting skills through hands-on delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Exposure to consulting or client-facing work such as internships or graduate schemes.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude.
• Clear written output, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
• Foundational level professional qualifications, or willingness to work towards them (e.g., PRINCE2, BCS).
• Collaborative and proactive approach, plus relevant degree or equivalent experience.

What You’ll Do

As a CMC Consultant, you’ll work on a variety of exciting fast-paced programmes working as part of multi-disciplinary teams, supporting clients while developing your consulting skills through structured development and hands-on delivery.

About you

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Some exposure to consulting, or client facing work (e.g internships, graduate schemes, placements or project work)
• An analytical mindset with an aptitude for problem-solving
• Strong communication skills, particularly clear written output, presentations and stakeholder engagement
• Foundational level professional qualifications, or willingness to work towards them, (e.g PRINCE2, the BCS pathway)
• A professional, collaborative and proactive approach
• A relevant degree, or equivalent experience
