Job summary

UTAC in Bedford, United Kingdom, is seeking a Junior Transactional Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. This role offers an excellent start for a detail-oriented professional to develop in a fast-paced accounting environment, with support for transactional processing, accuracy and professionalism.

You will process and record financial transactions, assist with invoice processing, support bank reconciliations, and help with month-end close under supervision.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with basic finance processes (AP/AR) is a plus.
• Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Willingness to learn Oracle Fusion ERP (training provided).
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and record financial transactions accurately using accounting software and spreadsheet applications.
• Perform data entry tasks with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all information is recorded correctly and promptly.
• Assist with invoice processing, including verification, coding, and filing of supporting documentation.
• Support bank reconciliation activities and investigate any discrepancies identified.
• Maintain organised records and filing systems for transactional documents and correspondence.
• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries and obtain necessary information.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures as required.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and statements under supervision.
• Comply with all relevant accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of transactional accounting processes.

We are seeking a Junior Transactional Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team in Bedford, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will support the transactional accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions whilst maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.

• Process and record financial transactions accurately using accounting software and spreadsheet applications
