Traffic Maintenance Engineer Trainee - Oxfordshire, United Kingdom (On-site)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working alongside technical experts committed to making a difference. Be part of a high-performing team managing complex and critical infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and security 24/7.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will collaborate with Traffic Signal specialists in Oxfordshire. Due to growth, we are expanding our Traffic team in this area.

Responsibilities:

Assist experienced Traffic Engineers in troubleshooting, maintaining, testing, and repairing Traffic Signals, Traffic Lights, and related electrical equipment in Oxfordshire.

Training involves practical on-the-job learning, aiming to achieve an NVQ in Electrical Installations and certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Candidate Profile:

Interest in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair, with some exposure to electrical systems through work or education.

Minimum Requirements:

• Motivated and eager to learn through work and online courses
• Experience or qualification in electrical testing, maintenance, or installation
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
• Full UK Driving Licence and residency in Oxfordshire
• Willing to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing
