DV Trading seeks a Junior Trading Operations Analyst to join the London DV Commodities team. This middle‑office role supports traders and senior operations, monitors activity, resolves real‑time issues, and helps improve processes to boost performance.

The ideal candidate is early in their career, hands‑on, analytical, and comfortable in a fast‑paced trading environment.

Qualifications

• 0–2+ years in trading, operations, or data-focused roles.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Finance or Data Science.
• Proficient in Python and/or SQL for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary support for the trading desks, handling ad‑hoc queries from traders and stakeholders.
• Perform daily PnL reconciliation and reporting, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Monitor pricing and risk, identifying and escalating issues where necessary.
• Serve as the first point of contact for operational and trade‑related issues.
• Investigate breaks across internal systems, brokers, and exchanges, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve them.
• Contribute to process improvements and controls to reduce manual work and operational risk.
• Work on data‑driven projects to improve reporting, transparency, and operational efficiency.

This is a middle‑office role, working closely with traders and senior operations to support the day‑to‑day running of the trading desks. You will monitor trading activity, resolve issues in real‑time, and help improve the processes and tools that underpin the company’s performance. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is hands‑on, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced trading environment.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to debug issues across data, systems, and workflows
• Hands‑on experience using Python and/or SQL to work with and analyze data
• Interest in trading and energy markets
• Ability to stay organized and effective in a fast‑paced, real‑time environment
• Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with traders and stakeholders
• Experience with or interest in automating workflows
