Job summary

WSP in the UK is recruiting professionals to shape the future of land and engineering surveying. Based in Exeter, Guildford, Bristol or London, you’ll join the UK-wide Surveying Services team and collaborate with the UAV and MBS groups.

You’ll work on surveying projects across Southern England and beyond, assist with land and engineering surveys to briefs, and ensure WSP standards are followed. A technical surveying degree/HND is required, with 1–2 years’ experience; familiarity with total

Qualifications

• A relevant technical degree/HND in surveying or a related discipline, with experience in a similar role, typically 1-2 years
• Working towards membership of a professional body would be advantageous
• An understanding of project and commercial considerations
• Experience in the use of total stations, GNSS & terrestrial laser scanners
• Experience in the use of N4ce (or similar), Trimble Business Centre (or similar) and AutoCAD would be advantageous but not essential
• Experience in the planning and piloting of UAV’s would be advantageous but not essential
• Experience in carrying out Buried Services Surveys would be advantageous but not essential
• Good problem solving, self-management and people skills
• Ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team
• The ability to travel UK-wide on a regular basis is essential for this role

Responsibilities

• Based within WSP’s Exeter, Guildford, Bristol or London offices, working within theUK wide Surveying Services team, alongside the Buried Services Surveying, UAV and MBS teams.
• Working on Survey projects across Southern England and UK Wide
• Assisting with land and engineering surveys with respect to briefs and specifications
• Processing projects, whilst rigorously adhering to, and ensuring, that the prevailing standards of WSP are adhered to
