Are you ready to grow your technical expertise and broaden your experience across varied and exciting projects? Paddock Geo Engineering Ltd (PGE) is looking for two motivated Junior to Mid-Level Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our friendly and high-performing team in Milton Keynes.

Whether you’re early in your career or building toward a senior role, this opportunity offers genuine hands-on learning, technical mentorship, and exposure to a wide range of project types across the South of England, Midlands, and Wales.

What You’ll Do

As part of a supportive and experienced team, you will:

  • Carry out site contamination assessments (Tier 1–3)
  • Undertake geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigations using a range of techniques
  • Conduct infiltration testing, ground gas, and groundwater monitoring
  • Manage site activities and liaise with contractors
  • Schedule contamination, geotechnical, and waste classification laboratory testing
  • Write factual and interpretative reports, with mentoring to support your growth
  • Maintain good site health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) practices
  • Manage your own time efficiently and work with increasing independence over time

You will report to a Senior Engineer and benefit from additional mentoring from senior staff. While support is always available, you will be encouraged to take ownership of your work and develop your confidence and autonomy.

What You Bring

  • A degree in a relevant discipline (preferably Geology or Earth Sciences)
  • A Master’s degree and/or professional certification would be advantageous
  • Ideally 1.5+ years of experience in ground investigation and environmental consultancy, but a graduate would be considered
  • Strong self-motivation and time management skills
  • A clear understanding of investigation techniques and their limitations
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • A full, clean UK driving licence
  • A good HSEQ record, with HSEQ training/qualification preferred
