Job description

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Telecoms Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and grow their career in a hands-on technical role.

Training will be given to the right candidate to help them understand our estate and uphold our high standards.

• Escort and supervise 3rd parties in sensitive technical spaces, ensuring compliance and safety
• Patch and maintain network points to ensure reliable connectivity
• Install and configure IP and analogue phones
• Install, configure, and monitor uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), power distribution units (PDU), and environmental sensors
• Manage stock control of equipment and materials
• Respond to issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of service
• Audit, assess, and improve the standards in our data centres and technical spaces
  
  

Working as part of a small team overseeing data centres and critical IT technical spaces across our estate, you'll learn the IT fundamentals required to support one of the biggest NHS trusts in the country.

Sometimes working as a team, sometimes working alone, every day is different. Protecting service uptime to help our staff treat patients quicker, this job is a critical part of our service.
