Qualifications

• A broad understanding of different delivery methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.

• Experience or familiarity with planning tools like Jira, Azure DevOps or Microsoft Planner.
• Able to work independently and as part of a wider team to deliver goals.
• Demonstrates a technical mindset and willingness to learn the technology being delivered.
• Security clearance required or willing to undergo clearance; Sole UK Nationals only.

Responsibilities

• Risks, issues and dependencies: conduct regular RAIDO reviews for projects.
• Project plans: monitor and track progress of project plans against ongoing work.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings: prepare agendas, take minutes for internal and external meetings.
• Monthly progress reports: compile reports to monitor project progress.
• Drive internal projects: own and drive delivery of internal initiatives.
• Support wider company functions: assist events, careers fairs and business development activities.

Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £40K plus benefits
Security Clearance: Advantageous but not required.

The Mission

We are looking for a motivated Junior Technical Project Manager to join our team and support the successful delivery of a wide range of projects. You will play a critical role in the management of both cutting edge internal research and development projects and external client delivery projects.

You don’t need to understand the details of the technologies or have project management qualifications, we just ask you have the desire to proactively identify issues, find solutions to challenges and support both the technical delivery team and project management team in the successful delivery of projects. This often means learning and working outside the scope of a traditional project manager, providing you with the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Risks, issues and dependencies: You will hold regular RAIDO reviews for the projects being delivered.
• Project plans: You will actively monitor and track progress of project plans against ongoing work.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings: You will coordinate meetings, create agendas and produce minutes for stakeholder meetings, both internal and external to the company.
• Monthly progress reports: You will create monthly progress reports for the projects you are overseeing to assist with progress monitoring.
• Drive internal projects: You will own and drive the delivery of internal projects.
• Support wider company functions: You will support initiatives outside of your core role, including events, careers fairs and business development events.

What you'll Bring

• Some experience with project planning tools: You’re aware of and may have some experience with planning tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or Microsoft Planner.
• Independent worker and a team player: You will be comfortable both working independently as well as part of a wider team to deliver a goal.
• Technical mindset: You may not be technical, but you have a desire to understand and learn about the technology being delivered.
• Requirement: Due to the highly sensitive nature of the environments you will support, you will be willing to undergo security clearance. (Note: We will support you through this process if you do not already hold it). For this, we can only consider applicants who are Sole UK Nationals.
