Job summary

Rathbones Plc in Liverpool is seeking a Junior Tax Assistant to join the Personal Tax Team. You will assist the team with the preparation and filing of tax returns and support personal tax advisory work for clients.

The role offers exposure to tax compliance and advisory services within a growing wealth management firm, with opportunities to progress to ATT and ultimately CTA qualification.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs at A-C including English Language and Maths
• 120 UCAS points for top 3 grades, excluding General Studies
• Degree required

Responsibilities

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and growing wealth management company in Liverpool in the Personal Tax Team, that provides both personal tax compliance and advisory services to individuals.

What youll be responsible for

• Assist the team with the preparation and filing of tax returns.


• Exposure to personal tax advisory work and helping to build client relationships.


• Assist the managers to ensure that deadlines and client expectations are met.


• Assist managers with work in progress management, billing and risk management.


• Work to obtain your ATT tax qualification and opportunity to progress to CTA qualification.


• You will work alongside team members to help our clients to navigate the complex tax landscape and stay compliant by paying the right amount of tax on time.
