Egis is looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer to join their Birmingham team on a Light Rail Transit project. The role involves systems engineering, interface coordination, and supporting field implementation on complex rail systems, requiring 3–5 years of related experience along with a degree in a relevant field.

The role is based in our Birmingham office.
We are looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer to join our growing team on a Light Rail Transit (LRT) project. This is an ideal role for a technically minded engineer with around 3–5 years of experience, who enjoys producing detailed designs, managing technical interfaces, and supporting on-site activities during Testing & Commissioning (T&C).
You will work alongside senior engineers and systems integrators to help deliver robust, integrated rail systems — with a strong focus on design delivery, interface coordination, and field implementation support.
