Our client, a forward:thinking building services consultancy, is seeking a Junior IES Consultant to join their dynamic and collaborative sustainability team. Known for delivering innovative and environmentally conscious design solutions, they are expanding due to a growing portfolio of high:profile projects across the commercial, residential, education, and healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of thermal and energy models using IES VE software.
  • Conduct overheating risk assessments in line with CIBSE TM52 / TM59.
  • Support the development of energy strategies for planning applications.
  • Analyse building performance data and contribute to sustainability reports.
  • Collaborate closely with design teams, architects, and clients.
  • Stay up to date with UK building regulations and sustainable design standards.

Requirements

  • Degree in Building Services Engineering, Environmental Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Exposure to or basic experience using IES VE software (academic or professional).
  • Understanding of UK building regulations and sustainable design principles.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem:solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Passionate about low:carbon design and building performance.
