Job Description

We are looking for a consultant to join our group of engineers and experts focussed on the Sustainability activities, in Stevenage.

The role …

  • Reporting to the Senior Sustainability Engineer, you will be accountable for evaluating and improving the environmental performance of technologies, products or industrial sites.
  • Maintain your knowledge on the latest methodological developments and on all emerging themes in the fields of LCA, eco-design, circular economy, mitigation/adaptation to climate change, decarbonisation challenges, etc.
  • You might also be responsible for supporting workshops/training sessions in your areas of expertise.

Are you the one ?

Experience Required

  • You hold an engineering degree or equivalent with minimum 1-3 years of experience ideally with specialisation in Sustainability/Environment;
  • Experience in the use of LCA software (e.g. GaBi, SimaPro) is desirable;
  • Team player, keen to share their knowledge and work collaboratively within a fairly small team;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience of Project Management is desirable;
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).

This position may require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities

  • As part of a consultancy, as required the successful candidate will support work outside of the perimeter detailed above, such as bid work and the wider Airbus Protect’s project portfolio in the Safety and Sustainability domain.
