Job summary

Altrad are currently looking for a Junior Subcontract Compliance officer to join the team based in Middlesbrough. The role focuses on managing subcontractor qualification, ensuring due diligence, and administering PQQs to assess compliance.

You will interact with HSEQ and other stakeholders to obtain approvals and maintain accurate records. The position requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and experience with subcontractor processes.

Qualifications

• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in subcontractor compliance, procurement or administration processes.
• Confident communicator able to collaborate across departments.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve the Subcontractor qualification/due diligence process.
• Process new Subcontractor requests within SLAs.
• Review and approve PQQs to assess subcontractor suitability and compliance.
• Coordinate with HSEQ and stakeholders to meet compliance requirements.
• Maintain Subcontractor records in Business Central including insurance, addresses and contracts.
• Verify CIS status with HMRC and address discrepancies.
• Ensure Subcontractors comply with the Code of Conduct.
• Support audits with accurate subcontractor records.
• Contribute to process improvements within the Subcontract Compliance Team.
