Job summary

Pertemps TM is recruiting a Graduate Structural Engineer for a Leicester-based consultancy. The role offers a pathway to chartership and exposure to residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects from day one.

You will work with Chartered Engineers on concept-to-construction projects, developing a broad foundation in structural and civil design while gaining practical site exposure.

Qualifications

• MEng or BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Strong academic background.
• Genuine interest in building structures and engineering design.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Motivated to work towards IStructE and/or ICE Chartership.
• Familiarity with structural analysis software would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the design of structural solutions for a range of building projects.
• Producing engineering calculations and technical reports.
• Supporting the preparation of drawings and design documentation.
• Undertaking site visits and inspections.
• Working alongside senior engineers to develop practical and cost-effective solutions.
• Liaising with architects, contractors and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
