Junior Sous Chef at Noble Rot Mayfair

Calling all aspiring Rotters! Noble Rot Mayfair is recruiting a Junior Sous Chef to join their team.

The menu is crafted by Executive Chef Stephen Harris (from The Sportsman, Seasalter) alongside Mayfair's Head Chef Adam Wood. Our wine list features a range from undervalued wines by the glass to rare gems from renowned winemakers.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop and learn as a chef, surrounded by experienced professionals and high-quality standards.

  • You can choose your weekly hours, with most chefs opting for 6 shifts/45 hours per week (£47,000 - £49,000 pa) or 7 shifts/50 hours per week (£52,000 - £54,000 pa), inclusive of tronc.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Junior Sous Chef, you will work across different sections and run the pass when the Head Chef and Sous Chef are absent. You will serve as a role model, passing on knowledge, supervising junior team members, and maintaining high standards of service, hygiene, health, and safety.

Requirements and Traits:

  • Experience in kitchen service is preferred, but this is also a great opportunity for a Senior Chef de Partie with relevant experience to step up.
  • A positive attitude, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication are essential, along with a genuine passion for cooking and restaurant work.
  • A love for simple, classical French, Italian, and British cuisine is crucial.
