What You'll Do:
  • Act as deputy to the Sous Chef, supervising kitchen activities including food prep and storage
  • Lead, coordinate, and motivate the kitchen team
  • Support and train staff across all sections
  • Ensure food preparation meets recipe and quality standards
  • Conduct food sampling and inspections to ensure standards
  • Maintain food quality control and proper food rotation
  • Participate in menu planning and cost control
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff regarding menu changes and shortages
  • Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating staff
  • Manage inventory and procurement of supplies
  • Maintain budgeted food costs
What You'll Bring:
  • NVQ Level 2 & 3
  • COSHH certification
  • Extensive experience as a Chef De Cuisine or Sous Chef in a 5-star setting
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel, email, inventory systems, and POS
  • Michelin Star or AA Rosette experience preferred
  • Understanding of hospitality laws and regulations
  • Experience in menu development and costing
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Management experience
  • Legal right to work in the UK
