The Hoxton, Holborn invites applications for a Junior Sous Chef to support a large kitchen team in Rondo, our seasonal modern bistro. You'll work under Head Chef and Sous Chef to maintain brand standards while driving menu development and ensuring high-quality guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as a Junior Sous Chef in a busy environment with freshness and provenance of ingredients as a key priority.
• Proven track record supporting managing large kitchen teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a large, dynamic kitchen team.
• Assist with driving innovation and menu development within the Hoxton framework.
• Maintain kitchen standards and deliver high-quality menu items.
• Oversee the kitchen in the absence of Head Chef and Sous Chef.
• Lead by example to keep the team engaged, motivated and focused on guest experiences.

We are looking for a passionate Junior Sous Chef at The Hoxton, Holborn in our Rondo restaurant. Open from breakfast through to dinner, Rondo is a relaxed neighbourhood restaurant offering seasonal modern bistro dishes and great wines for all. The kitchen is headed up by Chris Gillard (ex- St John) and the wine programme and impressive wine wall has been procured by Will Lander of Quality Chop House. Rondo is the kind of restaurant you want at the end of your street; serious about food and drink but with a fun, welcoming vibe.

Job Description

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a large, dynamic kitchen team
• Support with driving innovation and create a culture of menu development whilst still delivering on the framework of a Hoxton Restaurant menu allowing the amazing produce to speak for itself
• Maintaining kitchen standards, always seeking to find efficient solutions whilst maintaining the quality and integrity of the menu
• In the absences of the Head Chef and Sous Chef, oversee the kitchen team
• Both guest and team experience will be at the heart of all you do. You'll lead your team by example, keeping them involved and motivated; helping them feel empowered and supported, confident in providing top Hox experiences for our guests and comfortable turning to you with questions.
