Job summary

Mollie’s Manchester is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join a fast-growing, budget-luxe hospitality brand. You will work closely with the Head Chef and lead a motivated kitchen team to exceed guest expectations.

You’ll train and develop within the team, manage daily kitchen activities including staff oversight, menu prep, and ensuring food quality and freshness, while monitoring ordering and stock for smooth service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year of supervisory experience
• Self-motivated team player with interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to lead by example
• Demonstrated superior customer service philosophy
• Excellent planning, time management, and organisational skills
• Calm under pressure and effective problem-solving
• Able to work with diverse people and communicate effectively
• High levels of confidence and competence

Responsibilities

• Train and develop within a high performing kitchen team to achieve KPIs
• Work closely with Head Chef to implement new processes and initiatives
• Support Head Chef with daily kitchen activities and staff management
• Oversee menu preparation, food quality and freshness
• Monitor ordering and stock to ensure smooth service
• Provide meal quality and consistency by following recipes
