Junior Sous Chef - Alderley Edge - Up to £15.00 per hour - 40 hours per week

4 day week - Wednesday to Sunday

We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join the talented kitchen team at our stunning hotel, The Alderley Edge. We are seeking an experienced CDP ready to develop their career. The successful candidate will run all sections of the kitchen, be accustomed to working with fresh food, and have some banqueting event experience.

Responsibilities of a Junior Sous Chef at Alderley Edge include:

  • Leading the team to operate all kitchen sections
  • Supporting menu development, stock management, and maintaining a safe, compliant kitchen environment
  • Guiding junior kitchen staff members
  • Maintaining high standards and attention to detail to achieve and sustain 5* Scores on the doors
  • Motivating the team to consistently present fresh, quality food
  • Playing a key role in training and developing junior team members

Work Environment:

The Alderley Edge Hotel features 50 bedrooms, a superb Grill on the Hill restaurant for up to 70 guests, and a range of banqueting and event spaces for up to 120 guests. Our brigade of talented chefs works with the best fresh produce in a well-equipped kitchen, led by our Head Chef. We also offer a Lounge Bar menu, excellent wines, cocktails, and premium spirits.
