A leading restaurant group in Market Harborough is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering fresh meals. You'll be responsible for meal prep and ensuring quality across all dishes. The ideal candidate will have experience in a kitchen, strong culinary skills, and a passion for cooking with fresh ingredients. Qualifications

  • Experience in a kitchen environment at a Junior Sous Chef level or higher.
  • Experience with fresh ingredients and good culinary skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated with pace and limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of allergens and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in meal preparation.
  • Ensure all prep is done for each shift.
  • Make each dish to specification.

What you'll bring:

  • You are probably an existing Junior Sous Chef or an experienced Chef looking to take the next step in your career.
  • You will ideally have experience working with fresh ingredients and demonstrate good chef/kitchen skills (food prep hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, good hygiene practices)
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • Self-motivated to work at pace, with limited supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices regarding allergens, kitchen essentials, and Food Safety.
